Congratulations, Isabella! That's very exciting your own artwork got published! And you were very lucky to get an answer from Don Rosa! I will have to agree with him that the bandage on Scrooge's head was a bit questionable. I sorta felt it didn't belong either; it's still a nice drawing. Peace out!

Hey and did you send that pic to him as an attachment, or did you give him a link, because when i sent attachments he said he wouldn't open them, being afraid I might send him viruses heh! Anyway, next time i sent him links many times and he only commented on the drawing one time, the very first time (My oldest duck drawings). And then he kinda ignored them, or something 0_0 . But he DOES reply to every email

Congrats on the publication!

And Don's really great for conversing with fans, isnt he? Especially after all his recent eye surgery.

I used to converse with him a lot in the 90s, and it was always a thrill to have an email from him in the inbox.

And as for the critique, one certainly can't be a student of Don's style without nitpicking historical details and accuracy!

Wow, fantastico!

Immagino che sarai al settimo cielo! Io non ho mai avuto occasione (o coraggio) di scrivere al Don, anche se ho avuto la fortuna di incontrarlo qualche anno fa a un convegno a Firenze (ma solo per un paio di rapidi autografi, che conservo gelosamente...)
E congratulazioni per la pubblicazione del tuo disegno
